Avatar Builder Test Runs

So I got all excited about Avatar Builder App and started building up some videos.  Here's what I've come up with so far.  What do you think of my first one?

Then I did one where the voices were weird but if I could splice in a second Avatar, that would make it seem more understandable.  Next, I played with some sound.  The tone was too loud and interrupted the beginning of the video.

Then I had to put together a speech for Toastmasters International, so I thought I'd use the Avatar BuilderApp to showcase a point.  

 I have struggled with the 3d software, and the rendering.  Here is one of my fails; check out my spokeswoman's voice.  Meh!

But I'm hoping it will get better or I'll just spring for the upgrade and use my own voice when I can.

I'd love to get feedback on these videos and see if you think there's a future for me here.  I know it's just a start and I need to look at the options I have but since I've only had the software a few weeks, it's been fun to see what I can come up with.

Online Life Complicated? It's Time to Simplify!

I'm Gonna Do It

 

I finally booked a coaching session with my long time mentor, Joan Sotkin.  

My Toastmaster group theme was Memorable Mentors and I was one of the speakers, so I thought who better to speak of than Joan and tell my fellow Toastmasters about Prosperity Place.

I've followed Joan for years, but I'd always been too embarrassed by my lack of follow through to be able to book a coaching session with her.  I "knew" she was going to ask me to take action on something...Been there, done that, took the disappointment home as a consolation prize.

But, I just had my birthday and I've had a lot of "quiet time" this year, so now I am ready to do it...and I think it will be better than I've feared.

You Can Tap For Someone Else - Emotional Freedom Techniques

Have you ever had someone you wanted to help and yet they were so stinking resistant? Or a pet who is suffering?  What about a child that can't be comforted.

Basic Guidelines 

It is important to honor yourself with a few basic guidelines, especially if you are doing this type of work on your own.  Make certain you are in a place that feels safe.  Give yourself adequate privacy.  Come prepared with tissues, comfortable clothing, sufficient time and a willingness to stick with the process.  Even if you are skeptical of the modality you are using.  If you are going to try it, you should take it seriously enough to give it your attention otherwise, don't waste your time.  If you do give it a shoddy attempt and don't get the results you want, guess whose going to be bad mouthing that technique...

Self Work

If you are interested in doing self work, give yourself the benefit of using your chosen technique several times before you put it away.  If the issue you are working on is a big issue, it is always suggested that you work with someone experienced in healing.

There are so many fantastic people already trained in every technique on the planet, and the internet is the perfect place to get good, free information any time, day or night.  Someone is always offering something and if you are inexperienced and want a guide to help you navigate something tricky, scary, difficult, weird, or just plain uncomfortable, just ask.  There's a lot of people out there that are really willing to help.  Remember, whenever anyone gets better, we all reap the benefits from it.

I have used all of these techniques, and found many of them incredibly valuable.  My greatest love is the PSTec because it is so fast, it works so deeply, and it has been more effective, for me, than all the other healing modalities I've learned in the last 22 years. 

My goal is to become the Carol Look of PSTec in the years to come, but more important than me is the sharing of this great work.  And if I can do anything to help people learn about this great tool, then I will have done a very good thing.

My thanks to all the excellent, highly dedicated healers out there who truly want to serve you with their skills.  Put them to good use and take advantage of all the gifts they offer.  But no matter who you choose to follow, make sure you are prepared..

Healing Can Be Real Work

So if you enter the arena ill prepared, several things will occur: 

First, you won't get your money's worth if your inner self doesn't feel safe with "you" and your approach.

Second, you may dig up something you're not prepared to deal with on your own, especially if you don't give yourself enough privacy, time, and gentle attention.

And finally, you may turn to other forms of self medicating if you don't get down to the bottom of the issue.

Important to Remember

You're on a journey.  You don't have to go it alone, there are many helpers along the path, much of the information out there is free, and you can easily find someone to help you get through the tough spots if you are simply willing to ask.  Be gentle with yourself, especially if you are healing something frightening or an old wound.  You're probably doing the best with what you were given and time and the tools you choose may be much more important elements than you might have realized.

When you are young the external world is the most important.  As we age we come to understand that the internal world is really the only one that actually matters, for at some point you may see that the external world is simply a construct being played out of what is going on within our hearts, minds and imagination.

When we heal the internal, the external can't help but improve.

Yesterday I was a the market and everyone was shuffling towards the checkout, walking in front of a man, who was trying to see the drinks in the display. 

I simply had to stop and leap in front of him, extending my arms and legs wide.

Now that I've begun to embrace my own weirdness, life is a lot more entertaining.

US spent over $1,000,000,000,000 on health care 20 years ago!

Is this how you want your health care?

Below is a lot of information on health.  My goal is to provide you with alternatives that you can use on yourself or your loved ones so you don't end up trapped or dependent on the medical system as much.  This is why I recommend PSTEC all the time.

Dietary Supplement Health & Education Act of 1994, Public Law 103-417, 103rd Congress

Congress finds that -

• (1) improving the health status of United States citizens ranks at the top of the national priorities of the Federal Government;
• (2) the importance of nutrition and the benefits of dietary supplements to health promotion and disease prevention have been documented increasingly in scientific studies;
• (3)(A) there is a link between the ingestion of certain nutrients or dietary supplements and the prevention of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis; and
• (B) clinical research has shown that several chronic diseases can be prevented simply with a healthful diet, such as a diet that is low in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, with a high proportion of plant-based foods;
• (4) healthful diets may mitigate the need for expensive medical procedures, such as coronary bypass surgery or angioplasty;
• (5) preventive health measures, including education, good nutrition, and appropriate use of safe nutritional supplements will limit the incidence of chronic diseases, and reduce long-term health care expenditures;
• (6)(A) promotion of good health and healthy lifestyles improves and extends lives while reducing health care expenditures; and
• (B) reduction in health care expenditures is of paramount importance to the future of the country and the economic well-being of the country;
• (7) there is a growing need for emphasis on the dissemination of information linking nutrition and long-term good health;
• (8) consumers should be empowered to make choices about preventive health care programs based on data from scientific studies of health benefits related to particular dietary supplements;
• (9) national surveys have revealed that almost 50 percent of the 260,000,000 Americans regularly consume dietary supplements of vitamins, minerals, or herbs as a means of improving their nutrition;
• (10) studies indicate that consumers are placing increased reliance on the use of nontraditional health care providers to avoid the excessive costs of traditional medical services and to obtain more holistic consideration of their needs;
• (11) the United States will spend over $1,000,000,000,000 on health care in 1994, which is about 12 percent of the Gross National Product of the United States, and this amount and percentage will continue to increase unless significant efforts are undertaken to reverse the increase;
• (12)(A) the nutritional supplement industry is an integral part of the economy of the United States;
• (B) the industry consistently projects a positive trade balance; and
• (C) the estimated 600 dietary supplement manufacturers in the United States produce approximately 4,000 products, with total annual sales of such products alone reaching at least $4,000,000,000;
• (13) although the Federal Government should take swift action against products that are unsafe or adulterated, the Federal Government should not take any actions to impose unreasonable regulatory barriers limiting or slowing the flow of safe products and accurate information to consumers;
• (14) dietary supplements are safe within a broad range of intake, and safety problems with the supplements are relatively rare; and
